I don't know about you, Hosato, but my manuscript has way too much dust on it. One thing I've learned from reading several books and articles on writing is you have to make a job out of it. Schedule a regular time when you can sit down uninterrupted and just write. Whether it is daily or weekly just do it.

So, starting this weekend I'm going to move my computer out of the living room so I'm not distracted and block out and block out an hour a night for writing.

You can think about what you are going to do in your book every day but until you start putting ink to paper (or pixels to documents) it won't matter. Your book won't be better for having 400 hours thinking about it if it is never completed.

Also, how about a once a month writing club? See if we can find one or two more folks at the same stage as us interrested in Fantasy or SciFi and we get together and offer encouragement and critiqueing.

I hear ya Pukwudji. I've been thinking the same thing. And you're right. It isn't going to get done by just thinking about it. I like your idea of a writing club. We should definitely see if there are any locals that would like to get together once a month or so and compare notes. I think it would really help us to set goals and hold each other accountable. I'll put the word out and see if anyone I know, aside from you ;), might be interested. You do the same and, who knows, we might start something big here. :-)
